Hello lovelies!
As I’m still working on my reflections after my IG quest to revive my account and fine-tuning how I’ll use Substack, I browsed my drafts folder to see what magic I could share. My eyes fell upon this little post, which is slightly different, but I think it’s a fun one to share.
If you’ve been here for a little while, you know that weaving words together isn’t my only creative outlet. For the majority of my creative journey I’ve been collecting snippets from my imagination on paper with watercolors and ink. Most of the time my art holds a sliver of story. Sometimes it’s pretty elaborate and I see how it ties into one of my bigger imaginative worlds. Other times, it’s peek into a tale that could grow into a bigger one if I’d sit with it. I always feel like Alice in Wonderland when that happens, haha.
So make yourself comfy as it's a delightful day for some reading, my loves. The weather is moody and snowy rain pitter-patters on the windows. A cup of tea is brewing and a slice of cake is patiently waiting on the side. A candle is lit, a blanket is nearby and pillow for good measure. The cozy vibes are all set!
Or so you would think.
Despite these fabulous conditions for reading, Wizard Kitty is in a pickle as he has three stories to choose from. Shall we help him? Which story would you choose?

The one about The Hat
👒 It was the day that the hat decided to go on an adventure. The hat wasn’t an ordinary hat, you see. Broad rimmed with stitches that sparkled like gold and colors that changed like a prism caught in sunlight. A tiny key was tucked inside her band. For years, she could catch a glimpse of the outside world from the bookshelf she lived on. She just knew with every fiber of her being that there was a story for her out there.
The one about a Tiny Bot
🤖 Many stories start with, once upon a time, right? This one is no different.
Once upon a time, there was a tiny robot with vines curling around his little arms and legs. If he stood perfectly still, one could mistake him for a little tree. He felt a bit lost and he wasn’t sure what he was looking for, but every now and again, he could feel this spark within his chest. Some days it felt as if it led him somewhere. Other days it felt as if he walked in circles. Then one day, a soft melody filled the air.
The one about the Witch’s Room
🧙♀️ There was only one tall window in the witch’s room and every night, the moon dutifully took it’s place high up in the sky and shone its silvery pale light through the crystal glass. Rows and rows of colorful bottles started to shine softly and stacks of books began to quiver and move across the wooden floor. The room let out a yawn and started to wake from its slumber.
Ps. One of these is definitely part of a bigger world already. ✨
