A Cozy List 🍵
How I weave glimmers of cozy magic in my everyday life & new art up for collection.
Give me oversized sweaters, comfy boots and big knitted scarves. Deep conversations, steaming cups filled with delectable drinks and veins intertwined with cinnamon, spice and all things nice. Flicking through magical books as raindrops pitter-patter on the windows and let me dance through slow days with candles lit as colorful leaves twirl through the sky.

Hello lovelies!
Ah how is November slowly coming to an end already?
After I ended my IG quest on November 1st, I found myself slowing down and assessing all that happened in September and October. Because while I did revive my account and got almost all the followers back that I had lost, I ended up dividing my attention over too many elements. I realized I was behind a lot of little things; from actually creating content I wanted to create to messaging lovely souls in my world. I simply didn't have the mental capacity to do more than 2 or 3 main things in my days, and one of these things usually was, making dinner.
As the end of 2024 is getting closer and closer, I find myself reflecting on how I moved through everything. As proud as I am for all I've done and what I'm working on now, not everything went according to plan and there are several areas in my routine and life in general that need more attention. There’s a series in the works that I’d love to share with you and hopefully you’ll join me, but for this little musing, I wanted to share a glimpse into how I weave glimmers of cozy magic in my everyday life whilst moving through changes and anchoring in new rhythms and routines.
Hello, lovely reader! I’m TJ, an artist and storyteller and on here, you will find gentle reflections & musings on life, self love, healing and the magic of mundane wonders. Aka the stories that I collected as I pivoted my life around by choosing to follow my creative dreams. Make yourself cozy, have a read and I hope you the words will bring a dash of wonder and magic into your day.
~ How I weave coziness into my day ~
Have you ever stopped and wondered what “cozy” actually means to you?
For the longest time I attributed it to surrounding myself with all the little things that made me happy, especially from the moment September knocked on my door. You can think of candles, autumn decor and a pretty long list with all the recipes that I wanted to try.
However, over time I looked closer at what truly made me feel cozy and I realized that it’s more than the physical elements we get to surround ourselves with. To feel cozy, it’s a state of being and it’s one of the vibes I tap into when I need to ground back into myself again. It’s a moment of calm, peace and wonder that makes you feel like you’re wrapped in a warm blanket that feels like a hug. It makes you feel safe again.
Having coziness as an undercurrent in my life, and not just during the colder months, helps to make moving through my days a bit more enjoyable, and some days, more bearable. It brings me back to the present moment, especially if my mind wanders to whatever is challenging me. It’s a conscious decision, a shift in mindset and how I perceive what’s happening inside of myself and the world around me.
To create a cozy atmosphere and state of being, it’s a form of self care. It’s a way to love yourself a bit more. It’s giving yourself permission to listen to what you need and making space for it. And it doesn't have to be big at all. It can hide in the smallest gesture and very often it’s already present in one of the many seemingly mundane moments in your everyday life.
~ A glimpse into my current list for cozy vibes ~
To have more coziness in my world, it’s a way to nurture what I need in the moment to feel a bit better, calmer and more grounded. It can be as simple as holding a cup of tea to a more elaborate self care routine filled with everything I need to feel centered within again.
It really depends on the day, so if you wonder how to go about this for yourself, have a ponder and look into what feeling warm, nurtured, comfortable and safe looks like to you.
For me it can look like the following:
~ Stretching or a yoga flow when I wake up and when I go to bed
~ Decluttering my desk or any other room in my apartment
~ Giving myself permission to let go of what isn’t working during the day
~ Making a nice warm drink for myself
~ Wrapping myself in a blanket (and walk around pretending I’m Snape)
~ Giving myself uninterrupted time to write
~ Creating a playlist with tunes that make me daydream
~ Wearing my favorite hoodie
~ Take some time in the morning to think about the day ahead, make a little list and tick tasks off as I go
~ Making a tasty meal and plating it nicely
~ Lighting a candle and incense when I wake up
~ Have my phone on “do not disturb” from 9pm until 9am in the morning
~ People watching, in a non-creepy way, mind you. There’s something comforting about the fact that we’re all living our lives
~ Staring at the sky, usually during sunset, but I’m known to stare throughout the day, haha.
~ Making time to read
~ Going for a walk; all bundled up like a mummy
~ Making time to really be present through the senses
What would you add to the list?
I’ll be honest. As I was writing my list, it wasn’t lost on me how this list is also how I add a slower pace into my life, haha.
In the end, no matter the label that’s given to a certain lifestyle, everything you do in life is so interwoven with each other. It’s a reason why I began to look at how I want my life to feel versus what is trendy. When I have a clearer understanding of what I desire, I can continue to build a stronger foundation for a life that flows with me and the seasons I go through.
~ Collecting Cozy Soul Art ~
Because the way I create my art is very much linked to how I live and the magic I want to experience, I chose the cozy little witchy lady from this post as the monthly bookmark and a 5x7in print for my patrons.
If you’d love to collect her, please join by December 1st on any of the art goodie tiers on Society of Wonders (aka Patreon).
Both the print and bookmark will have the little cozy musing, which you can read in the image above, on the back. I knoooow I'm not alone with adoring these vibes. 🥰
Whenever I see this design, I just want to snuggle under my coziest of blankets, holding a nice cup with a hot drink. And I hope that everyone that collects this design will feel a similar way and that this little lady will always be a gentle reminder to make space for what you need. ✨
Thank you for being here and reading my rambles, lovelies! I appreciate you and the time you spent with me so much!
Much love, always!

~ Why Patreon, you might wonder? ~
Patreon is my little peaceful world that helped me to make a proper start with slowing down with my creative process. I relaunched it before I burned out and in hindsight having Patreon gave me the courage to finally allow a slower pace into my world.
I create a monthly design for my beautiful patrons and share more behind the scenes from my creative process. There are also several ebooks and 40+ magical wallpapers for a dash of magic on your phone and desktop. The pledges will always be the most affordable ones when it comes to getting my bookmarks and prints. Your support means the world!
If Patreon isn’t an option yet, please no worries! There will be a small stock up for collection once my shop is ready to have a soft launch. But once this is sold out, the designs are likely not coming back again.
When it comes to my shop: I held the intention to have my shop done before the end of November, but with two projects floating into my world, I have to honor the call to work on these as they also support my journey to have a better work & life balance. So I decided to push the opening of the shop to January, so I can mentally & physically prepare for the big clearance of the art, especially bookmarks, from my previous art chapter in style, haha. If this is of interest of you, I invite you to hop on my letter list.
As for Patreon: I want to give a head’s up and share that it’s wisest to sign up via the website/browser or Android app and not the iOs app. Apple requires Patreon to use their iOS purchase system and this means an aded 30% fee increase on any new subscriptions bought via the app. It’s rude if you ask me!
If you made it to the end, I’m so grateful to have you here! I hope you loved reading and staring at all the things, lovely! If you got some value out of the words and you’d love to support me, I’d SO appreciate it if you could heart & share the words with your wonderful world. And, if it’s aligned, I’d love to welcome you as a subscriber as well! Thank you so much for reading and spending some time with me. ♥
Everyone can identify with a fragrant garden, with beauty of sunset, with the quiet of nature, with a warm and cozy cottage. ~ Thomas Kinkade
Oh, I'm so glad you brought up the importance of coziness. Even though this is a really cozy season in itself, coziness is really something that needs to be cultivated and nurtured, just as anything else in life. And thank you for your "cozy tips" ✨💚
Layers and coziness is so nice, and my most favorite seasons are where this is necessary, and most welcomed. I'm still waiting on our first big snowfall, but right now gentle flakes are falling in a calm and lilting manner outside and it's bringing me so much peace.
